The shared family calendar
One calendar for the whole family — weekly journey view, recurring events and gentle reminders.
The shared calendar is the heart of the harbor: one calendar your whole family sees. No more five separate planners that never agree.
The weekly journey view
The week is drawn as a journey: days flow like a route across the water, and every family member's events sit on it together.
- See instantly who has what going on — school, work, dentist, football.
- Drag and drop an event between days when plans change.
- Tap any event to see details, owner and notes.
Creating events
- Tap a day (or the + button) and choose New event.
- Fill in title, time and the family members involved.
- Add notes if the family needs context — "take the swim bag".
Recurring events
Mark an event as recurring and it auto-expands into the calendar — every week, every other week, or a custom rhythm.
- Edit one occurrence to change just that instance.
- Edit the series to change them all.
- School terms, clubs and regular visits work best as recurring events.
Gentle reminders
Reminders are tied to real family actions only — no notification spam. You get nudged for the things that matter: a leaving-soon event, a task due today, a planned meal.
Tips from real families
- Color-code by member — one glance shows whose day is heavy.
- Put the weekly family planning moment into the calendar itself (Sunday evening works well).
- Pair the calendar with Kanban tasks so chores have owners, not just deadlines.
